Preachers love to say you just need to "believe" to be saved.  After all, isn't that what you want to hear?  Just say a little prayer and voila, a guaranteed ticket to "heaven?"

If "belief," was the only requirement for salvation, wouldn't Satan and his minions be saved?  After all, "the devils also believe, and tremble." (James 2:19)

Ask yourself, "Why did Adam and Eve get kicked out of paradise?"  Hint: it wasn't because they didn't believe in God.  Obedience, not belief, is the key to life. 

Jesus said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)   So whom do you believe?  The preacher?  Or Jesus?

Be careful whom you choose to follow...if the preacher is wrong, you pay the price. Remember, just because everyone believes something is true, doesn't make it truth. 

It's not rocket science, if you don't keep the commandments, you don't really love Jesus.  Do you really think God will give eternal life to those who don't love his Son?

You can say, "I believe" all you want, but unless you keep the commandments, you don't really believe.  And, you won't keep the commandments until you know, without a doubt, God is real.  And, you won't know God is real, until you're reborn Spiritually.

Until then...nothing else matters.
