If you're among those who look forward to spending eternity in "heaven," you might want to reconsider.  "Heaven" is not the utopia you see in the movies.  No streets of gold, no sitting on a cloud with a harp or partying with friends in your mansion.  This is pure fantasy designed to fill pews and collection plates.  Sounds great, but not true.

"Heaven" is the abode of God.  No matter how glorious preachers make it sound, does kneeling before God worshiping him for eternity sound like "heaven" to you?  And, if you think you're going to have a new life like the one on earth (only better), you are being deceived.  Scripture is clear, it is appointed unto man once to die, and then the judgement (Hebrews 9:27).  You die, you get judged.  Are you ready to be judged?

It was never God's plan for his children to live, die and go to heaven.  His plan was for us to live, enjoy and have dominion over his creation...still is.

God is now preparing to return the inheritance (the earth) to his children.  A new world is coming; but it won't be man's world...it will be God's world, where every knee will bow and tongue proclaim that Jesus is Lord.

Do you think when Jesus said, "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth," he was just kidding?  In a little while, God's wrath will again be poured on the earth...the wicked, evil and unrepentant will be removed; and we (at least some of us) will remain to begin again...just as it was in the days of Noah. 

Which sounds more like a blessing from God?  Kneeling before God for eternity?  Or living, ruling and reigning with Christ in a world with no lying, cheating, or stealing?
