The Road To Life

The "Road To Life" is often described as a "Y" in the road, with one leading to eternal life, the other to eternal damnation, and you choosing which way to go.

I don't see it that way; think of the "Road To Life" as a two-lane highway. One way leads to eternal life, the other to eternal damnation...everyone is going one way or the other.

When Jesus said, "I am the way..." (John 14:6), He wasn't talking about believing in him; he said if you follow him, he will show you the way.

The good news: If you're going in the wrong direction, all you need to do is stop, turn around (repent) and start going in the opposite direction.

The word "repent" does not mean to ask forgiveness...it means "to turn around."

Repentance is the first step on the road to life. God doesn't hear the prayers of sinners, but he hears all prayers of repentance. Until you recognize and confess that you're a sinner, you can't be reborn Spiritually. And Jesus said, "Ye must be born again.

Until you are born again, you cannot see or enter the kingdom of God.

Until you are reborn Spiritually...nothing else really matters.
