WEALTH P

P - Prepare For The Worst...

Here is Wisdom: "A sensible man watches for problems ahead and prepares to meet them." (Proverbs 21:5 TLB)

Saving and investing is one aspect of preparing, whether it's for a rainy day or retirement, but there is another aspect to preparing.

No one knows what the future holds.  Accidents are called accidents because they can't be foreseen.  Premature death can leave a family wondering how they'll survive.  And a disability can wreak havoc on a once promising life.

How do you protect yourself and your family?  One word: Insurance.

If you're a "Christian," you might be saying, "Having Insurance shows a lack of faith."  I agree; but as with divorce, you have doctors, medicine, insurance, etal, because of the hardness of your heart; but it was not so from the beginning.  God promises to provide and protect, if you will walk in his ways and obey his voice.  If you don't...God won't.

In over thirty years of walking and talking with God, we have never had a claim that we couldn't pay from our savings account.

I'm not suggesting you go without insurance; but if you decide to trust God to protect you and not insure...rest assured your faith will be tested.

There's not enough space to adequately discuss every aspect of insurance here.  Suffice it to say, the purpose of insurance is to protect you from a loss, not provide you with a gain.  How do you determine if you need insurance?

You just have to ask yourself two questions: 1.  Do I have people who would be adversely affected by my premature death or disability?  And 2.  Do I care?

If you answered "Yes" to those questions, unless you're independently wealthy, chances are good you probably need some insurance.

Preparing is not paranoia...it's wisdom.

If you want to experience Financial Freedom, God's way: Prepare for the worst
