God Calling

Ray Evans • February 25, 2020
I believe every child of God has an innate desire to know, I mean really KNOW, God...it's like an itch that needs to be scratched.  Every time you choose to do, or even think of doing, something wrong, you get an uncomfortable feeling in the pit of your stomach.

It's God calling to tell you to reconsider your decision.

The Israelite's refused to listen and had to wander in the desert forty years...only two of those who left Egypt got to enter the promised land.  Refusing God's call subjects you to a miserable life of wandering in the "desert" until you change your ways...or die.

If you're a child of God, you don't realize how fortunate you are...you get to choose the kind of life you want.  Life and blessing await those who accept his call and will walk in his ways and obey his voice.  Death and cursing for those who won't.

His call is unmistakable...whether it's a subtle whisper or a bat up the side of the head, you will know when God calls.

You can ignore it, but at your own peril.

Refusing to answer, guarantees a life of misery...or worse, eternal separation from God.

He won't force you to do anything; but he also won't wait forever.  The day is coming when "shut" will be put to the door...just as it was in the days of Noah.

If you're reading this...God is calling...turn or return to God while there is still time.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth

Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom

This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
Psalms 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
By Ray Evans May 6, 2020
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
