Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire

This little children's ditty may be closer to the truth than we care to admit.
The Bible says, when you sin, you do so willingly. "The Devil made me do it," will not hold water with God.
Until you're born again...nothing else matters.
It's easy to understand "the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers and idolaters are going to burn in the lake of fire"
(Revelation 21:8), they're evil...but "liars?"
C'mon, everyone lies, don't they?
Actually, no...not everyone lies.
When you're reborn Spiritually, you become intensely aware of sin and its consequences (the wages of sin is death).
Scripture says, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory"
(Romans 3:22); but that is prior to being reborn Spiritually...when you're born again, your slate is wiped clean; even the thought of sinning is quickly convicted.
Spirit-filled people do not sin...at least knowingly. If they slip on occasion, they will quickly repent. If lying comes easy, you haven't been "born again."

When you hear politicians blatantly lying, it's not just "politics," it's evil. All liars are serving the father of lies...Satan.
Oh, they probably don't have a pentagram on their bedroom wall and I doubt they participate in human sacrifice, but they (and everyone who lies) have a date with the devil in hell...it won't just be their pants on fire.
Scripture is clear...all liars will burn in the lake of fire and brimstone (Revelation 21:8)
Think about that the next time you tell a lie or even think about lying.

Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"
