Rejoice And Be Glad

Ray Evans • January 13, 2020
We only have a limited number of days on earth, so rejoice when you wake in the morning and thank God for another day.  It's not a bad idea to thank him again when you go to bed at night...after all, you're still alive.

Everyday, every hour, every minute, you have a choice to be happy or sad...let's face it, we aren't guaranteed even the next second...we could both die with our next breath.

Everyone is probably familiar with the scripture where Jesus says, "No one knows the day or hour, so be ready always;" it's usually followed by a sermon on the end of the world and the second coming of Jesus; but consider this, no one knows the day or hour when life will end.  I'm not talking about all life on earth, just our individual lives.

So be thankful and rejoice for every second, every minute, every hour, every day God gives you to enjoy his creation.

If you wake up in the morning, it would be a good idea to thank him for another day and another opportunity to enjoy his creation.

Of course, until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth
By Ray Evans May 9, 2020
Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom
By Ray Evans May 7, 2020
This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
Psalms 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
By Ray Evans May 6, 2020
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
