Good And Evil

Ray Evans • February 29, 2020
I have often wondered, "Do evil people know they're evil?"

When I see people willfully and knowingly lie, cheat and steal, I wonder if they know they're evil?  It's easy to think of murderers as evil, but what about people who support abortion, promote homosexuality, want prayer eliminated from public spaces or in any other way want to see God and his ways removed from society...isn't that Satan's goal?

I'm a child of God.  I am fully aware of everything I say and do; pleasing God is the highest priority of my life.  I know the Holy Spirit is within me to guide me, convict me of sin and keep me on the right path; and I know, without a doubt, God is real; but what about evil people?

Do "Satan's" kids know they're evil?  I realize they don't "worship" the devil (at least not openly); but do they understand that eliminating God from society is not a political, social or philosophical difference...it's evil.

Whether it's abortion, same-sex marriage or elimination of the death penalty; people who call good, evil and evil, good are not just wrong, they're evil.  I just wonder if they are consciously aware that they are evil people.

The Bible says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked..." (Jeremiah 17:9)

However, evil, and evil people are not the problem.  Oh, they can make life miserable; and watching people willingly lie, cheat and steal is no fun; but all of our problems can be traced to a single source...it's not evil people or Satan.

The only problem we have in the world today...people simply don't believe God is real.

Which is tragic because until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth
By Ray Evans May 9, 2020
Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom

This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
Psalms 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
By Ray Evans May 6, 2020
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
