Obedience Is The Key To "Life"

Ray Evans • February 3, 2020
I used to get bent out of shape at "Christians" who disobeyed God's word.  I wasn't being "Holier-than-thou" (okay, maybe a little)...obedience wasn't a difficult concept.

How could anyone say they believed in God and not obey him?  To me, they were just hypocrites and deserved to be slain like sheep.  Not very "Christian," I know; but then there's a lot about "Christianity" I don't agree with...the myths, lies and misconceptions coming from the pulpit are leading God's people astray.  True Christianity is not a religion, it's a way of life...a way of living as God intended; in peace, without fear.

A well-known, well-respected, Pastor said on the radio the other day that God knows we're human, so he doesn't expect us to obey.  Doesn't expect us to obey?  Are you kidding me?  It's statements like that, that chap my drawers.  God forbid we should offend anyone with the truth...why, they might stop coming to church.

When you tell your kids to do something, don't you "expect" them to do it?  When they disobey, are you a happy camper?  Oh, maybe you're one of those "progressive Christians," who think God would never hurt anyone, especially us.  Wake up!  If you think God wants a bunch of disobedient kids ruling his kingdom, you don't know God.

Disobedience is a lack of respect; whether it's to your boss, spouse, parents and yes, even God.  It basically means you have no "fear" of the consequences.  When you understand who God is, what he has done and what he can do...how could you possibly disobey him?  I'm pretty sure it's because you don't really believe God is real.

And that's why I say: Until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth
By Ray Evans May 9, 2020
Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom

This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
Psalms 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
By Ray Evans May 6, 2020
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
