Salvation By Grace

Ray Evans • January 10, 2020
Like Salvation, Grace is a misunderstood concept by most Pastors, Priests and Biblical Scholars.  Saying a little prayer and confessing that Jesus is Lord might make you a "Christian," but it doesn't mean you are "saved" or have eternal life.

Salvation by grace, was the premier tenet of Luther's 95 Theses; to dispel the selling of "indulgences" (forgiveness) by the Catholic Church.  In other words, the "church" said you can be forgiven of sin, by paying the priest (church) a stipend.  Trust me, a "Priest" can't forgive sins, no matter how many "Hail Mary's" you say...only God can forgive.

Grace, as God's free gift of eternal life, is a doctrine of false hope.  It was adopted and still used by the church to make converts and fill the pews and collection plates; but there are going to be a lot of disappointed "Christians" when they reach the pearly gates.

While "Grace," ("Charis" in Greek) can be interpreted as "gift;" it is more accurately defined as, "the divine influence on the heart."

"Grace" is the "gift" of the Holy Spirit; it's why Jesus said, "the kingdom of God is within you."

Yes, it's "free;" you can't earn it, or "buy" it. It's God's gift to his children...those who take God and his Word, seriously...who seek him with all their heart, mind soul and strength.

When scripture says, "Ye are saved by grace," (Ephesians 2:5) it means we have the assurance of salvation when God sends his Holy Spirit into our hearts, crying Abba, Father (Galatians 4:6).  Then, and only then, will you know, without a doubt, that God is real...then, and only then, have you been reborn, Spiritually.

Until you're reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth

Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom

This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
Psalms 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
By Ray Evans May 6, 2020
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
