The Simplicity Of The Bible

Ray Evans • January 9, 2020
Is it really that simple?  Yep.

Simple, but not easy.

A lot of Pastors, Priests and Biblical Scholars preach an "easy" way to eternal life, but God never said it would be easy; just that it would be worth it.

Preachers have convinced people that there is no reason to be "afraid" of God; "fear," they say, means respect.  Granted, there is no need to be "afraid" of God if you are keeping the commandments; but if you're not, you should be afraid, very afraid; because all you have to look forward to, is judgement.

Our view of God has changed; we want a loving God; one who would never hurt anyone, especially us...but God has not changed; he is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Do you really think God, who destroyed 23,000 Israelites for worshiping a golden calf; or the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for their wickedness, will now give "sinners" a free pass?

If that's what you think, you don't know God.

If you don't know God, I mean really KNOW God, I urge you to get down on your knees and pray as I prayed over thirty years ago, "God, if you're real, I want to know."

Until you know, without a doubt, God is real...nothing else matters.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth

Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom

This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
Psalms 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
By Ray Evans May 6, 2020
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
