The Key To Life

Ray Evans • January 23, 2020
Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)

It's not rocket science; if you don't keep the commandments, you don't love Jesus...and if you don't love Jesus, the love of God isn't in you.  If the love of God isn't in you, you are not a child of God...as such, you do not have eternal life.  Pretty simple.

You see, while preachers occasionally preach a sermon on "obedience;" they fail to inform you that disobedience is the road to hell.  I mean nobody wants to hear they're going to hell, right?

You may not want to hear it; but unless you repent and get reborn Spiritually, that's where you're headed.

Do Not Be Deceived: Life and blessing doesn't come from belief in God, it's the result of obedience to God. (Deuteronomy 30:15)

Even demons believe in God...and tremble (James 2:19)

Preachers love to preach an easy way to salvation, just say a little prayer and you have eternal life and the assurance of "heaven;" but that's not what the Bible says.

"Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it" (Matthew 7:14)  Do you really think God wants a bunch of disobedient lawbreakers ruling his kingdom?  If so, you don't know God.

Be careful whom you choose to follow; most preachers are spiritually blind because they haven't been reborn Spiritually...they are only passing on what they learned in Seminary.  They are, as Jesus said, blind leaders of the blind...and if the blind lead the blind they will both fall into the ditch.

Trust me when I say that there are going to be a lot of disappointed "Christians" when they reach the pearly gates and hear, "Depart from me, I never knew you."

Until you are reborn Spiritually...nothing else matters.

Revelation 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth
By Ray Evans May 9, 2020
Believing in the "Rapture" relieves you of the responsibility to do anything except believe in Jesus...who will magically whisk you away to heaven. It's a lie, designed to keep you from preparing or being prepared for what's coming.
Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise: neither do the aged understand judgment.

A lot of well-known and well-respected preachers talk about how long they have been preaching, as if the longer one preaches the more qualified one is to preach.
Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom

This may seem a strange question, but it never ceases to amaze me how few people allow God to play an active role in their daily lives. Why anyone would not want the creator of the universe to help them every second, every minute and every hour of every day, is simply beyond me.
Psalms 15:1 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
By Ray Evans May 6, 2020
The question in Psalms 15, "Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?" probably has as many answers as there are preachers, but they all stem from a common belief: "Everyone who believes in Jesus goes to heaven." Sounds great, but is it true?
